Job Description/Responsibilities

The Materials Assistant is responsible for monitoring component inventory levels (bottles, caps, labels) as directed by Materials Manager. Responsible for submitting releases to suppliers for component deliveries, entering production booking for finished goods, conducting and reconciling cycle counts and entering materials receipts; provide assistance with purchasing orders, supplier contacts and the continuous improvement of the processes used to develop a world-class component inventory system

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-3pm

Job Duties
  • Comprehensive safety program developed and led by team members and managers to include safety training initiatives, written safety programs and rules tailored to the work of individual departments and designed to at least meet Federal, State and provincial safety requirements.
  • Exceeding expectations across all customer segments, including external and internal customers. Needs in all areas are anticipated and requests and complaints are addressed as much as possible to the satisfaction of all customers. Creating raving fans of
  • PDS system design and implementation to include active PDS evaluation for each team member with regular feedback sessions between team member and manager, overall grid rating for each team member, 360 degree feedback program. Identify the #1 Skill to be developed by each team member.
  • An ongoing effort to improve products, services, or processes. These efforts can seek "incremental" improvement over time or "breakthrough" improvement all at once. All are evaluated in the light of their efficiency, effectiveness and flexibility.
  • This project is focused on US TTB compliance at manufacturing facilities.
  • Continuous communication and reinforcement of company culture. Team Member assessment of culture monitored on regular basis via Sazerac Culture Survey and limited use of Best Places to Work surveys. Tangible results in improvement of culture scores based on survey feedback.
Qualifications/Requirements
MUST
  • High school diploma or ged equivalent
  • 2 years relevant experience (minimum)
  • 2 years successful work experience
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an org
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of ms office products (word, excel and outlook)
PREFERRED
  • Bachelor's degree
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to pick up and/or move objects up to 25 pounds without assistance
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting
  • Strong communication skills
  • Noise level at work station is moderate (business office with computer printers)
  • In-person job attendance
  • Ability to work 8 hour shift
  • Ability to pay attention to detail
  • Ability to read and write
